Chugging Through September

September has gone by fairly fast even though it seems like I haven’t been doing much out of the ordinary. I’ve been meaning to blog, but I haven’t felt like I’ve had much to say. My days have been rather redundant – I go to class, go to work, sleep, and pretty much repeat. I’ve been working a lot more than I would like to, but it keeps me busy and gives me some kind of income.

I’ve been feeling better. I’m getting into a routine which is good, though I still have rough days. I see Andrew about once a week. It’s hard since we both work and both have class at different times, but we try to do one night a week where we do dinner (usually cook dinner since we’re poor, haha) and then watch a movie or just do homework together. Tonight we made pancakes. :)

I’ve been working pretty much every night that I have events with the group that I’m involved in on campus (called Impact) which has really sucked. I miss seeing my friends from there so I think I’m just going to start requesting days off.

Other than that, life has been pretty boring. But no news is good new right? I’ve got some pretty heavy coursework coming up so I’m probably going to be non-existent. I keep thinking of that song, “Summer has come and passed…wake me up, when September ends.” Pretty boring, but I’m chugging through and that makes me happy.

(Also, all you visitors make me really happy too. You all are such dears, giving me such positive words when I was feeling really down. <3 )

  1. Yeah, it’s crazy to think September is almost over!
I’m glad you’re feeling a lot better! I just hope everything gets even better from now =)
Being in a routine can work wonders xD When I first started school and work at the same time, I was a crazy mess and my body wasn’t acting well towards the change in my sleeping patterns. Now I’m much better, but I’m still a little stressed.
    Have a great weekend! ^^

  2. I’m glad you’re feeling better! Routine can be nice since it offers some stability :) That’s kind of rough that you guys have differing work and class times. I’m glad you’re able to find a night a week to hang out at least. Dinner and a movie is a nice way to relax!

Good luck with all of your coursework!

  3. I was planning to blog in early september and suddenly it is halfway September already! It’s crazy how fast this year has passed by. It’s almost Christmas already! Pff, sometimes I want to pauze the time so I can do more things in a day!

Sometimes it’s hard to come up with something to blog. I have this problem all the time. And there are also days I want to write about alot of things. Then when I start a blog, I forget about all the ideas I had in mind. It’s frustrating sometimes.

I hope you can spend more time with Andrew in the future. Seeing your boyfriend once a week must be hard.

  4. I’ve moved my blog yet again. I moved due to a girl online that just likes reading it just cause. But anyway, sometimes when you have nothing to blog about – you intend to shy away from your blog. I know I do when I don’t have much to say. If I do and it’s personal I write it in my diary offline.

Did I not tell you in the beginning it’ll be hard living off on your own? Even when working it seems as though all your money goes towards bills, bills, bills! That’s what it was like for me when I lived at the apartment. I had to scrounge around for cash, ask people for help. But they admired that and they do help out those that needs it. I only get so much through Social Security, and after all the bills are paid I have nothing. Unless I want to sacrifice food money. Since living with my boyfriend and his Grandparents, I’ve been able to get more stuff and more books. Never fret though, things will eventually get easier in time. It’s that thing in life called being adults. Life is never easy as they seem. When you work, you work – no doubt about it. I’d rather work and get extra income, and on my days off I would still go to work and get that extra income. I guess you and I are both different. You want to work, and be able to enjoy your friends and life too. I don’t blame you really. Are you working full or part time?

  5. That’s really good that you and Andrew are able to come up with a routine where you guys can spend quality time together. It sucks having little free time, but as long as you make the most of what time you have, I’m sure you can get through it! Likewise, it’s been such a challenge with Daniel going into full time work (lawyers and their hours…) this year, and me still being stuck at jazz/law school. Eckk.

  6. Yeah, I can’t believe that September is over and October is here already. What happened to the time? I don’t know anymore. It just keeps passing quickly. I understand about having nothing to blog about, I’m finding myself in the same dilemma honestly. School has really kept my busy but alas, it’s good to get an update from you ;) I hope you do well in school!

  7. Time indeed flies so fast. It’s October now. :)

Honestly, I hate routines. It makes life boring for me. I like some excitement. A different event for every day is definitely a must for me or else I’ll get bored at everything. :D

Seeing your boyfriend once a week fine as long as you both enjoy the times you spend together. Working and studying is something we can’t really do something about unless we want to starve haha. :))

  8. This year is going by so fast. D;

Anyway, December’s coming up, so hopefully things will cool down by then. Hopefully things slow down for you before then, but anyways. :p

  9. Hey Becca!
I’m so lazy in blogging these days too… though I have so much to tell, I just don’t feel like writing and time is flying so fast these days! I hate redundant days…. but these days every day something new happens…. either good or bad….
You seem to be really busy…. that’s not sooo bad…. it’s sometimes better than simply whiling away time!

  10. I don’t get to blog a lot these days too. I understand the feeling of having nothing to say, and it’s alright. You don’t need to feel pressured to write :)

It’s great that you’re now feeling a lot better. And it’s nice that you still get to see Andrew once a week. It’s so sweet that you can really set aside a day just to be with each other. I know the feeling of having that kind of setup. It’s hard, but truly worth it when you’re spending time together :) Hope everything goes well!

  11. Routine either breaks or makes me. Normally it’s a process, though: I go from dying to struggling to keeping up. I’m glad you’re feeling better!

Green Day! I love that song, obviously, given it’s a classic. You know, I’ve never met anyone who doesn’t like that song. I’ve met people who aren’t big fans of Green Day, but never anyone who doesn’t like their mainstream hits.

    I really want pancakes now…

    Take care! xx
